Our mission is to see all 50 states (mine) and ride all the North American IMBA Mountain Bike Epic rides (his). Join us as we travel the country in our RV in search of our dreams. I know there will be challenges at every turn, but it sure should be fun!

Tammy Rides!
I am so ecstatic! Tammy's good days are winning out over her bad ones. When we started our journey, last winter, we did not even bring her bike. A stay at Santos FL, changed that with a successful ride on a rental bike. She has never been into the self abuse that I inflict upon myself, but she use to have giggle rides at easier trails at the Torne, near Boonton NJ, the Switchback trail in Jim Thorpe, PA. She has built up to 8 plus miles at a time. Not long ago, we found a rail trail in West Virginia, half paved half dirt. When I asked her, she said she prefered paved paths. I was just glad she was riding. Here in Brevard there is a 4-5 bike path, with a over a mile off the pavement, It never gets crazy, but it gets more and more mountain bikie as it went along. Last week, we started at the paved end and she rode a good part of the dirt. We stopped by the river, on a small rapid and to a small foot bridge. She had a giggle ride on the dirt, but was pretty tired with the entire out and back. So this week we started nearer the dirt, just enough for a warm up. This maximized giggle time and did not leave her exhausted. While there was little climbing, it got a little twisty, with roots and moderate bridges. She then decided to work on her climbing and did a some hill repeats at basecamp at Adventure Village. Videos will follow as bandwidth allows.
